3Cord

Ecclesiastes 4:12 says:  Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Throughout the Bible, God’s chosen people are fighting battles of many kinds.  Christ even said, “I have not come to bring peace, but a sword” (Matthew 10:34).  Why would Jesus bring a sword if there weren’t any battles to be fought? The result of Christ coming to earth is conflict…conflict between Christ and anti-christ, light and dark, Christ’s children and the devil’s children.

Paul stated, in chapter 6 of his letter to the Ephesians, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (verse 12 – emphasis added).

We are living in a world at war.  Far too often, we fail to accept this important fact…that Satan is real and he is active in this world.  We don’t see our lives as a battle.  We know that God is good and He wants only the best for us, but we fail to realize that there are evil forces at work to pull us away from the intimate relationship Christ wants with us.

We intend to arm this generation with truth, power, and unity that comes only from Christ so that “when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground” (Ephesians 6:13).

Every Wednesday night at 7 p.m., we offer a time for young people to accomplish these 3 goals.  After worship in the main service, young people are dismissed for a time of Bible study and discussion on issues and events that are relevant to where they are in life.

Also, keep checking back for a calendar of other activities that grow our faith, relationships, as well as His kingdom!
